Semester Schedule rework

HEre is a loose guideline for the rest of the semester

We had to change a few things due to the unavailability of Google sketchup. We will go over everything in greater detail in class. 

ILL 365 Digital Illustration

Dates left in Semester:

November 5th. Review Mirror,Mirror

November: 12 poster due

Crit for Posters, We will go over your logo sketches and decide on how you plan to move forward with your booklet. We will also go over Indesign and think about designing our booklets.

November: 19 Indesign

December 3rd: 

We will be working in class refining projects 

Final Review Date : 

12/10

Projects needed for Final review:

Two photoshop projects( one from in class 2nd from out of class)

1 Piece fusing illustrator and Photoshop for cover.

2 Illustrator pieces Poster and In class portrait

1 logo Illustrator

1 5 page booklet using these pieces as well as others from your portfolio.

1 small self portrait or personal icon done in any digital medium 3” by 3” at 300 dpi ( can be used as face book icon as well.

Booklet Parameters

Unless otherwise Specified or discussed :

• There will need to be a printed copy at the time of review as this will act as your final class portfolio( I would suggest at the very least to have one for me and one for yourself.)

• 5 pages  at  8.5 by 11 with a .25 inch trim and .5 inch bleed
• First page will have a large cover image from among your images from class, a headline introducing the booklet and the class including your name and class number unless otherwise discussed) as well as a logo designed by you in illustrator
• Interior pages will include: 
• All the artwork created for class as well as extras you may need to fill out or display your work at its best.
• Text introducing yourself( maybe a short bio) and describing your work and your goals
• Text for each image including Title and Medium as well as a short description of of your conceptual and design process.
• A drawing of you for your intro page done in any digital medium placed along with your introductory text.
• The last page will have a sign off area( Thank you for looking through my work etc.), another version of your logo and your contact info( address, email, etc)

You must have a printed copy of this at the time of review ! WE will be using a printing service called MagCloud.com
